In a unique move Tokelau requested all regional and international organizations that it is affiliated to either through full membership, associate or by accessing through regional international projects, to visit and consult Tokelau as a "body corporate" or all at once. The intention is to assist a small tiny country in managing all the possible assistance available from these organizations so that the actual assistance itself could be much more effective in their delivery and avoid duplication.

The guidelines for the design of conjunctive water supply systems to improve resilience to drought in Nauru have been developed as part of the Pacific Adaptation to Climate Change (PACC) demonstration project initiative. The PACC project involves 14 pacific countries and is aimed at building resilience to impacts of climate change in the key vulnerable socio-economic sectors. In Nauru, drought has been identified has one of the most threatening impact that could result from change in climate patterns.

In the 1970s the country experienced an economic boom due to phosphate mining, however, because of mismanagement of the revenue, the country currently has limited financial resources to undertake many of its development programmes including environmentally sound waste management. The Strandings of Oceania database is a collaborative project between SPREP, WildMe and the South Pacific Whale Research Consortium to record stranding and beachcast data for whales, dolphins and dugongs throughout the Pacific. We use a platform called Flukebook. An account is needed to view or use data within Flukebook but the data is available for download here.
